The German Agricultural Society (DLG) awards the ‘Price of the Best’ for long-term product quality in order to sustainably promote companies’ endeavours to achieve quality. The award is presented annually to food manufactures who have voluntarily had their products tested by DLG experts for many years.
Companies must have five consecutive years of participation with at least three awards per award year. From the fifth successfully year of participation, the company is honoured with the award for long-term product quality. If a manufacturer does not participate in a year or does not achieve the required number of awards, it loses its entitlement to the award.
The Waldhaus private brewery was honoured with the ‘Price of the best’ award for the 26th time in a row in 2016.
