In the Black Forest, we are committed to our homeland and therefore to our water, our forest and our cultural heritage. We use only natural ingredients for our beer specialities and also renewable electricity, which is produced in hydropower plants and as well with our own photovoltaic system.
Our photovoltaic system, which has been installed on the roof of our logistic centre in October 2017, has an output of 458.4 kWp (kilowatt peak). We use 75% of the electricity that we generate. In this way, we save almost 600 tonnes of carbon dioxide every year. That is the equivalent of planting around 5.700 trees.
