The organisation ‘1001 Dégustations’ from Limas in France evaluates wines and beers every year and publishes them on its website. Originally, 1001 dégustations was created by enthusiasts to respond to the information needs of gourmets and other wine lovers.
A committee of independent experts, consisting of winegrowers, restaurateurs, retailers, sommeliers, cellar masters and customer, taste wines and beers, assess their quality in terms of colour, smell and taste and award them the Diplôme Médaille D’Or in old, silver or bronze if the quality is corresponding.
